Title: Ruined
Team: X-men
Challenge: Bed
Universe: Uncanny X-men
Characters/Pairings: Logan
Rating: K
Logan’s bed was ruined every other week. Blood stains were a common adornment. Claw marks often ripped through the mattress and the sheets. Bits of metal, most often bullets, that made it’s way out of his skin littered the other wide comfortable bed. He’d never asked, but he was sure that Xavier put aside a little stash of money just to keep him from sleeping on the floor.
Perhaps he should sleep on the floor. It was a warriors place to sleep and wake up with a kink in the neck. But Logan liked the minor comforts in life sometimes.
Title: Nightmares
Team: X-men
Challenge: Bed
Universe: Evolution
Characters/Pairings: Nightcrawler, Scott
Rating: K
Nightcrawler was on his knees beside his bed. Prayer beads were clutched between two fingers and he was praying in his native German. He raised his yellow eyes to the ceiling before climbing in between the sheets.
Kurt felt his eyes close and he slowly drifted off to sleep. His dreams were of fighting, of war, of hate. It was the sensation of fire on his feet that sprang his eyes opened. His instincts teleported him and suddenly he found himself wrapped around Scott.
“Huh?”
“Bad dreams?” Scott asked with a chuckle.
“Yeah,” Kurt said blushing.
“Just sleep with me.”
Title: Pajamas
Team: X-men
Challenge: Bed
Universe: Ultimate
Characters/Pairings: Kitty
Rating: Pg-13
Kitty climbed into bed, her shorts riding up her ass, but didn’t care. It was mid summer and she was hot. Her shirt was a tank top cut just below the breasts. She lived most of her childhood running around in spandex so her modesty was long. Not to mention that nasty period when she couldn’t phase her clothing.
She yawned and stretched out on the bed. She was ready to sleep when the alarm sounded. She sprang up and started to change when an explosion shook the building. She won’t have time. She’d never wear extremely reveling pajamas again.
Title: No Place called home
Team: X-men
Challenge: Bed
Universe: Uncanny
Characters/Pairings: Gambit
Rating: Pg
Gambit preferred not to call anyone place home. He moved around a lot and never get to attached to anywhere. Never get tied down because there wasn’t honor among thieves or superheroes.
With his traveling bag tossed over his shoulder Gambit entered Xavier’s mansion and went up stairs. It’d been a hard week and all he wanted was to sleep.
He opened the doors to Rogues room smiling. He put his bag down and got not bed beside her. He snuggled into the other side of her bed and closed his eyes refusing to admit how at home he felt.
Ask any immortal and they’d tell you the worst part was the torture. Actually the worst part was knowing it could never end. They could take him apart today and in three days they could do it all over again. That could be his life from now on, but it won’t be. His team was coming, they would save.
In a week or two he’d be sleeping in his own bed recovering. This team would come, they had to.
