Summary: But all reverent, not aves.
Notes: 'Aves' is a scientific classification for birds.
‛I would lift you up‛, Angel says, ‛but you might be too-heavy‛. He is all soft-hands and lines (bend-yet-never-break, never ever ever, ever, you think), lying half-against him, half-not, and that small distance is heart-breaking but the closeness is, is.
‛It‛s okay‛, he says, flexing metal skin (you break, not bend). Angel tilts his head, but all reverent, not aves.
(You hear him talking to Storm. ‛You have a way with making him open up‛, she says. This metal heart, you think.
‛It‛s a gift‛, Angel says, smiling not-too-lightly, but bright, bright.
It melts, you think. Touch me.)
