Notes: Set when Jean and Scott go looking for Dazzler during the Dark Phoenix Saga

 

Jean's hand slipped away from Scott's; he watched her stalk across the dancefloor before disappearing in the throng.
 

He caught a flash of her in a pulse of the strobe light, shouldered his way through the crowd, and found Jean dancing, eyes closed, mission apparently forgotten.

 

"You...changed?" he shouted into her ear, trying to be discrete about inspecting the outfit she'd somehow replaced her yellow dress with.

 

She pulled him close, steering his stiff hips in time with hers. "You like?" she whispered in his mind. Her lips curled.

 

He was sure she didn't need telepathy to know his answer.
